Ery Nzaramba (Writer, Director, Producer):

Ery Nzaramba is a Rwandan actor. His family left Rwanda in 1994 and he trained as an actor at the Royal Conservatoire in French-speaking Brussels and at the Birmingham School of Acting in the UK. Since 2007 he has starred in theatre productions across the UK.

Ery also writes and directs his own productions for stage and screen (via his production company Maliza Productions). His short film TO THE NAKED EYE, a poem about his Rwandan identity, was screened at the Legacy Film Festival in 2011 and at the Journeys Festival in August 2013.

Ery premiered his self-penned one-man show SPLIT/MIXED at the United Solo Festival in New York in November 2013 and has subsequently performed it in Berlin (February 2014). He's also currently developing a historic play, FAMA, exploring Rwanda's past from pre-colonial times to post independence (and based on Koffi Kwahulé's play of the same name).
